It is our great pleasure to announce that ICAN is offering several partial bursaries to candidates that fulfil the criteria below and will be attending the 9th ICAN conference, 2025.
The bursaries are donations courtesy of Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN), Webber Training, Prof Shaheen Mehtar.
The selection criteria to receive a bursary are:
- A paid-up current member of ICAN- (membership number required)
- Between the ages of 25- 40 years of any gender
- Registered for the conference (proof required)
- Submitted an abstract for either a poster or an oral presentation which has been accepted by the Scientific Committee (acceptance letter)
- Have means to arrive in Cape Town for the conference (personal)
- Preferably, but not essentially, hailing from Africa.

Once you have been informed that you have been selected for a partial bursary by email, you will be reimbursed upon arrival at the congress in Cape Town. You may use these funds towards any of the expenses incurred to attend the conference.
We hope this stimulates healthy competition and participation of young investigators to come to the 9th ICAN conference, 2025 and showcase research from Africa.
