We are pleased to announce that the ICAN 2025 Conference Bursary application process is now closed. A heartfelt thank you to all applicants for their interest and enthusiasm.
The bursaries—made possible through the generous support of the Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN), Webber Training, and Prof. Shaheen Mehtar—have been awarded to successful candidates who met the criteria outlined below:
- Current paid-up member of ICAN (membership number provided)
- Aged between 25–40 years, any gender
- Registered for the 9th ICAN Conference (proof submitted)
- Submitted an abstract for a poster or oral presentation, accepted by the Scientific Committee
- Able to travel to Cape Town using personal means
- Preferably (though not necessarily) based in Africa
All successful applicants have been notified via email. Bursary reimbursements will be made upon arrival at the congress venue in Cape Town and may be used to offset expenses related to conference attendance.
